Michele Calderon Johns serves as IU Health’s Chief Risk Officer and is President of IU Health Risk Retention Group. She has oversight for Enterprise Risk Management program and operation and management of IU Health’s captive insurance program. She is admitted to the bar of the State of Indiana and the Northern and Southern Indiana U.S. District Courts. Johns earned a BS with distinction and law degree, cum laude, from Indiana University. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, Indiana Society for Health Care Risk Management and American Society for Health Care Risk Management and holds designation as a Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager (CPHRM).
