About the Business of Healthcare
BOH began publishing interviews in January 2017. Each season includes 3 – 7 interviews on a complex healthcare issue and the mission and economic value of solving that problem.
Now publishing its 13th season, the BOH library consists of 47 published interviews with senior leaders from across U.S. healthcare. Audience members are leaders from across healthcare: hospitals & health systems, physician practices, pharma, device, and senior living organizations, as well as government and commercial payers and the buyers of healthcare for large U.S. employers.
BOH estimates 118,000 decision makers are responsible for 80% or more of the ‘Buy’ and ‘Sell’ sides of U.S. healthcare. As of November 2018, 19,373 of these decision makers participate in the BOH audience. It is for this audience that BOH was purpose-built to identify and help propagate proven innovations elevating healthcare Mission & Margin more rapidly. Content is published in video, podcast and written article formats.
To ensure objectivity, the BOH Editorial Board maintains editorial control and approves each Interview. Interview ratings and comments from audience members guide Editorial Board policy.
Hanis is BOH Executive Producer & Host. He helps a wide range of healthcare organizations commercialize new solutions. Hanis has held executive leadership roles with Mercy, a St. Louis Based $5 billion health system, Advanced Practice Strategies, an Ascension Ventures portfolio company, and the Healthcare Business of Thomson Reuters, now Truven Health Analytics.
Dr. Howard is Assistant Professor of Health Management & Policy at Saint Louis University. Dr. Howard's current federal-level research program involves study of the relationships between the market penetration of the Medicare Advantage program and changes in the chronic disease burden at a population level.
Jeff is Director of Strategy for Total Orbit, an innovation company providing patient engagement in the real world. Previously, he was SVP / Director - Creative Strategy for Momentum Worldwide where he provided creative strategy for Fortune 500 companies.
